You don't see one of these every day. This is a neat bike.

Great bike. I think '83 was the last year for Columbus framed Treks. I love my '78 930.

Please measure the seat tube. I think you're incorrect about the size.

I had a 54cm of the same frame recently, pretty sure this one is a 56cm.
Pricing these is tricky, since as I found, there are almost no examples from the bay. (mine sold for about 1/4 the asking price after a few weeks, locally, albeit without the campy bits)

So, an honest response: I'm your market target. Older with cash in hand, bike would fit me, collector, lots of parts and tools at hand, used to doing a complete refurb and restoration down to individual nuts and bolts, and actively buying (but not selling) bikes and frames. Currently Trek deficiant, would pick one up if it were unusual/rare and in decent nick. Not the only person out there, but hey, generally speaking, the target.
In my world (that is, where people actually purchase bikes with cash) your price is on the high side considering some of the inherent flaws. For example, a truly interested buyer would be concerned about the corrosion of the eyelets on the rims and what else that might mean with regard to other components. Even without any other corrosion damage, replacing the rims for safety adds a bunch of cost, not to mention tires (and tubes, if one goes clincher as so many do these days).
Look, I understand you have a fairly rare bike & you'd like to get the maximum value for it. But...competition for a sale at that price these days is pretty intense. If you want to discuss off line, shoot me a pm or email me at rccardr@cox.net and we can chat.
