On my Cygolite 100. purchased last summer, the order (starting with solid) is solid, bright to dim fade, flashing 1, and flashing 2. It is indeed the second of those flashing modes.

The light survived a long ride with a lot of putzing around yesterday on the mode I'm calling 'flashing 2'.

Outstanding day flash range and can automatically switch to a night mode. Cars really notice it.
