Thank you kindly. I really, really like this one and dialed in on the fit. After speaking with Andy, learned this was his personal ride.

Notice the MicroDrive logo on your short cage XC Pro derailleur. Not many mountain derailleurs came with such a short cage, but this guy was meant to be used with MicroDrive triple cranks with smaller chainrings and gear block than standard, so a short cage RD would be appropriate.

This was the only old picture of my whole R1000.

The Jagwire brake housing siphoned up water when I rode in the rain causing the gold over braided metal effect to look more like rust.

I thought the big “C” in Cannondale goes with the “C” in Cinelli.

The CAAD3 Cannondale’s from this erahas a unique head tube double “C” decal. The combination of the Dura Ace 7403 dual pivots with the Cane Creek aero levers and the DT Swiss RR machined brake track aluminum rims makes this my best braking bike.

Early Cyclone is my favourite. It's too bad when Superbe came out they made Cyclone fat and ugly.

Suntour friction shifters

I got these shifters with the bicycle (the shifters are not original to the bicycle) by pulling them out of a box of shifters that the seller had. The seller is/was a friend of mine, an owner of a bicycle shop, and we had made an arrangement for him totally rehab this bicycle into working condition, for a for fair price, during the bicycle shop slow month of January. The weird thing about the shifters is that I'm pretty sure that I had the same shifters, put on my first nice bicycle shop bike, at this same bicycle shop, probably 30 years prior. There is nothing special about them, other than their very familiar feel in my hand, the history with the amount of tension they produce, their throw, and the nostalgia that I have for them. Like many things Suntour, they work better than they should, have long ago provided service beyond their initial costs, and make me happy.

Thanks, I think?

I believe these triple pulleys/triple pivot came on a Nishiki model.

Cyclone FD, RD, SR Apex crankset

Superbe brakes

Cyclone DT shifters, Tange Levin HS

Cool Nishiki head badge
Frameset is way too small 51cm, but the Suntour parts I had in the bin fit the build, IMO. The 32 Paselas give it a nice comfortable ride 😸

Those are Cyclone LD-1600 shifters.
VeloBase.com - Component: SunTour LD-1600, Cyclone

They often get swapped out in favor of the Power shifters, which are a bit nicer to use, but these still work fine.
Plus, I like the way these look. I took off my Power shifters and installed these.

So... part of the Cyclone group (or the partial group). More super cool vintage Suntour stuff to keep an eye out for. Thanks for the info BFisher.
