Folks,
I have a 70cm (c-c) Panasonic that I crashed early in March 2017; the downtube was bent.
I sent the frameset to Bilenkey of Philadelphia and he fixed it for me.
After repopulating it, it looks like this:

Today (August 1, 2017) I just finished 40 miles on the refurbished DX-2000.
Now I need to find some decals; the old ones went with the damaged tubes.

Thanks, the Mavic headset came with the frame. I never had one before and really like the looks of it. The stem is a Soma Sutro, I needed to get the bars up a bit because the frame is on the smaller side for me.

At 6' 3" I'm the short guy in the family, and generally ride 61-64 cm frames. My brother is 6' 7". He worked in a bike shop in Chicago in the 90s, and used his employee discount to have a Waterford frame custom made to fit him. We don't get to ride together much, but we did while visiting my parents this weekend in Plainfield (western) Massachusetts, and I took the opportunity to finally get a few pics. It's something like 67cm ST and 61cm TT, w/Campy 9sp Chorus. That's my puny Trek 730 hybrid in the background. I leave it stashed at my parents house so I have a bike to ride when I visit. He also asked if I knew a source for jerseys with a taller cut. I thought I'd ask here. Most XXLs are way too wide. Who makes a skinny tall jersey?

Lookin' good! Glad the Waterford frame kept the rear wheel tucked in closer to the seat tube instead of awkwardly kicking it out, ruining the proportion. Super tall guys (and gals) need sexy looking frames, too! As much as I may bemoan the dearth of lovely tall 64-ish cm frames at my 6'5" height, it is nothing to the absolutely barren desert of options that (fail to) face those taller than me.

+1 on the Aero Tech Designs. I just recently got one in XLT and it made a huge difference in the drops.

I had a woman once tell me on a charity ride that I may want to put sun screen on my lower back. Not sure if she was being snarky, but I apologized for her view.

BTW, a 67x61 Waterford is on my short list. Your brother's still looks great.

Thanks for the tip on Aerotech, I've passed it on to him. And his Waterford is Reynolds 753. My SBDU Raleigh Team Pro is 531, so I am of course jealous.

My LBS came up with this. 66cm Giant Peloton Superlite. At my upper limit size-wise, but as my life wouldn't have been complete without a triple-butted bike, I thought I'd better get it. Cleaned up rather nicely, too.

Oh man, I still love seeing tall bikes posted! @non-fixie what does the top tube measure in length? That Giant turned out to be a stunner, and at 66cm, would be at the upper end of my fitting it as well, provided the TT wasn't massive given the normal-ish HT and ST angles.

TT is 60cm (CC). Which is is a bit longer than I care for, so I replaced the 120mm bar stem it came with (which was non-original anyway) with a 100mm one. I've yet to take it out for more than a couple of hundred yards, so no verdict on its ride qualities yet.

A Peloton Superlite has been on my wish list for a while. The main reason being that Peter Serier was somehow involved in their inception. He actually built some of them, presumably team bikes. Here's one I'd love to try in my size.

I and my bikes are usually accused of being "freakishly large" by the folks I ride with. It's a bit of a change being at the lower end of the height spectrum for a change.

1965-ish Cinelli Special Corsa wiith Campy 10sp triple (and tektro brakes - it was built for mid-1960s length brakes, not modern Campy dual pivot length). 64cm c-c seat tube, 61.5cm c-c top tube.

And yes, since this photo was taken I have added some links to the too-short chain, replaced the rear brake cable with a longer one and added a third brake cable clip. I've also replaced the dirty white bar tape with red.

I love this bike. A lot. Rides like a dream. A very happy, don't-want-it-to-end dream.

This is a bit of a "Before" picture, but I picked this thing up last weekend for a very low price (aka, I am rescuing it). I took one look at the tubing and said "MAX" and then looked at the unicrown fork and then said "It's a Marinoni" as I have one of these, but at 61cm. This is a 65cm (CTT) frame with a 61cm TT (CTC), so it's at the upper limit of my fitting a bike (61cm being the absolute lower limit). ST angle is 73.0° and HT angle is nice and steep at 75.2°. The bike rides smoothly, and I did another test ride when I got it home and put a shorter stem on it, adjusting things to my fitment measurements.

Disassembly was an adventure--very reluctant seat post, recalcitrant front brake bolt and nut, and a drive side BB cup that was threaded on when there was still a lot of paint on the BB threads from the crappy repaint. A wacky stem adapter and having to drill out the under-BB-shell cable guide fastening bolt, all rounded out the fun. Nothing was damaged, and the frame is straight. Tire clearance is 25mm max.

Contacted Marinoni, and the lovely lady who answered my email confirmed it was a Marinoni, sold as a frameset to a local but now defunct bike shop--I bought it in the same area, so that makes sense as they were a Marinoni dealer. Headset is 10mm longer than needed for a Shimano, but a Campagnolo seat post binding bolt could indicate that this could have been a Campagnolo build, super tall Record headset included (is a match for the length). The mostly 6500 Ultegra parts worked, but were pretty used up. Wheels are good, and I should be able to sell things and end up with a sweet riding "free" Marinoni...very excited about saving such a good frame. It'll get powder coated and built up again, probably with 7800 Dura-Ace because I have those parts and I like them!

I don't know why but some bikes are like that, everything seems like a problem. I bought a Lemond a while back, just for the Campy group. Every single part must have been put on the bike by a gorilla. if I did not strip the bolt I stripped the hex wrench.

Nice find on the Marinoni, looks like a go fast bike with the rear tire that close to the seat tube. can't wait to see it after the powder coat.

The chrome lugs on the Cinelli @bikingshearer are so cool. Just the right amount of bling. Cinelli must have made more than their share of tall bikes because lately I have been seeing a few 64cm's for sale.

Thanks. I especially like how Cinellis have just the front half of the seat lug chromed - a quirky choice that I think looks good.

The chrome fork is a story in itself - it's from a different, even older Cinelli SC that I had stripped and rechromed in anticipation of a respray that never happened because it turned out the frame was rusted out.

At some point, the whole bike will be repainted (the paint is significantly rough than the photo shows), so the fork will not stay all chrome for ever. Or maybe it will - it is unusual, after all . . . .

As for 64cm Cinellis being on the market, you must have a better pipeline than I do. I just happened to stumble onto this one, and it was frame-only (hence the fork from another SC).

Yeah, and it's really a fun feeling watching the $$$ you think you are saving, cancelling out, or getting ahead on, start going the other way into costing a bill or few. It's always a big risk taking something nice that's beat up and hoping by the time you get to the core, it's just a clean/painting away from being ready to be built up lovingly and properly. The BB threading had me physically and mentally sweating. Given the condition of the bike and components, and the stupid repaint job, I figured cross-threading was just the perfect scenario. Alas, it spun out very slowly, with lots of leveraged effort. I tell ya....

The 25mm max tire allowance, oddly, comes not from the rear, but from the under fork crown clearance. Maybe the Gatorskins were really big 25s.... I'll test fit other 25mm tires and see.

Not really C&V, but the OP said he wanted to see a 66 Cannondale posted here... So, I thought I'd resurrect an old thread to post my CAAD5 66cm, 2010 frame newly built up with Campy Potenza 11. The frame is 69+ ctt, so it's huge, and I think it's the first bike I've ever had that actually fits me. I found the frame in almost perfect condition on CL, about 1,500 miles away. Used paypal and shipbikes.com to make the deal happen. I couldn't be happier with it, though I'll be replacing the stem and bars soon.
