Winter Clyde cycling jacket?

I'm looking for a winter commuting jacket, preferably something windproof/thermal and high vis. I have looked at Pearl Izumi and Gore Bike Wear and I don't think the XXLs would even fit me. I'm 6ft around 270. Doe anyone have any suggestions?

Bgreen,
I got 2 of the Gore Bike Wear jackets. One Windstopper and the other has thermal in as well. Both excellent jackets and highly recommend. I am 5'6 and 218 lbs and fit was consistant with other sizing. I wear a Large. I think its probably a good idea to see if you can try one on. I picked them up off EB to save a few $ too. Also recommend Gore facemask which has been great in the colder weather.

I guess it depends on your body shape, but I have a Pearl Izumi Elite softshell jacket in XXL and it fitted me @ 280lbs. It's snug yes, but it's supposed to be.

Got an expensive castelli and don't care for it. Got this at 300 pounds and It is awesome. Not insulated but under armor cold gear plus this works great. Waterproof Breathable Jackets from People Who Really Know Waterproof Breathable Jackets! there is plenty of room for layering too.

For a windbreaker, I recently got from Performance Bikes, a Performance Transformer 2.0 Jacket (XXL). I got it as a light jacket because you can zip the arms off to make it a vest. I haven't had to buy a heavy bike jacket, yet. But I've heard good things about the Arc'teryx Atom (from REI).

I really like the looks of the Gore jackets. The reviews are saying they run small though. Worried an XXL may not fit. I may order one and see how it fits, can always send it back.

Here's what I'm going to do - have Lou at Foxwear make me a custom jacket. He made me some pants that are just awesome - power shield fronts and power stretch backs. They breathe super well and are warm. I'm going to get a jacket made just like that and get it to have three big jersey style pockets on the back.

Here's the amazing thing - Foxwear's prices for custom are the same as or less than the off the shelf jackets. You'll get it in a week too. Amazing stuff.

I'm around 6'4 / 200lb and I'm using a Canari Everest in XL. There's plenty of room to spare around the midsection, but the overall length, and the length of the sleeves...perfect!
