Hope you can get the set up that will work well and fit in the rubber boots, I'm sure they will be the most difficult thing due to the bulk.

Should be fine.

Currently, I have Wenger 600631 LEGACY 16 Inch Laptop Backpack, it is 21L. I am able to fit everything I need, including boots (I can fold them in height), laptop, spare jumper and a book.

So 20L trunk must be large enough. Now I just need to wait until Tailfin will get more racks back in stock.

cool, will be nice with a nice compact, streamlined tailfin setup cuz you'll still be able to give it some welly with your wellies inside
give it some welly means putting the hammer down, going full gas (gong really fast, for us petrolheads)
cheers
