Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Back in the day when I was mountain biking, I had a GT Avalanche that I raced with. If you recall, the logo on the down tubes looked something like this:

all GT terra

And I had a buddy who always complimented "Pete's All GT Terra." I never had the heart to correct him either.

My steel bike is a custom build which sports the name of the frame maker. He is Eastern European (Czek, I believe).

Everyone thinks someone screwed up on the decals of my 'Strand" (The bike is actually "Strnad").

Oh well, I guess you had to be there...

Red spokes, how tragic. Colgano sounds like some sort of antacid remedy.

I used to think it read Colagno. Oh well.

It sounds like something I use to brush my teeth.
