I feel @Carbonfiberboy has many points that I find to be true. One other point that has helped me with pressure is saddle height, and I think the OP alluded to this a bit when he stated his legs were burning. Not only is the saddle too forward but also too low. Wonder if that height is the same height as his cycle. I went through a break down (powder coat) and did not take prior measurements. So it took a while to fit properly again. But I know for sure my saddle is higher than its previous setting. I thought we should have more endurance if we use all the leg muscles available. Now I use more hamstring as opposed to quads on up stroke with a fluid leg motion throughout its range. I do feel it in the glutes when I dismount. I am also in the drops from tip to curl. With very little pressure on bars. Hope this helps.
