Perhaps there would be a way to vary from breathable to non-breathable covering depending on conditions outside. Long or short?
I've been using some supposedly waterproof ski gloves lately. I've seen some waterproof ones that have a liner + thin plastic glove + shell... which would seem like they should be waterproof, but don't seem to be effective.
Anyway, my ski gloves will get moist with a hard effort when it is dry, but I get puddles of water in the fingertips if I'm out for a few hours in the rain.

my joe blow experience wiht dishgloves is that you want loose fitting, at least there is some air transfer compared to tightish fitting ones.

Well, I think I ruined the shell gloves in post number 12.
Turning them right side out and the urethane sealer stuck together. My daughter is in the kitchen trying to get the fingers right-side-out. Maybe I should have used some talc? If she gets them unstuck I'll try them under the faucet but I'm not hopeful.
So I'm looking at Neoprene gloves and ordered Castelli Diluvio C gloves in stylish high-viz. I can return them for free so no loss other than time.
Dish gloves are looking better and better.
@fietsbob may be onto something. Maybe I can just spray my hands with Plasti-dip or Flex Seal.
Hard to believe that nobody makes seam sealed shell gloves in 2018. Most of the claims of "Totally waterproof" are BS.

Seal Skins Membrane does not last long...
Depends on the thickness, room temp, etc
I used Plastidip to replace Cordura coating,in a bag, brushed on thin it dried quick, in the summer ..

How fast does the coating dry?

You can get wet from sweat or rain.....Take your pick.
Rain smells better!
Wool gloves will keep your hands warm when wet.
