Quote notifications still not working!

I keep getting notifications saying I have been quoted but it just takes me to my profile page. Hasn't been working since the change. The original thread on this has been closed but mine has never started working. This has been a total disaster from the start. Seems like it was rolled out without testing anything.

What browser and device are you using? I tested and couldn't recreate the problem.

Which notifications are you having problems with?

For topic replies, I get E-Mail notifications that look something like this:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthrea...8&goto=newpost

Click on the link, and it brings me to the post.

Quote E-Mails are slightly different, and come up with a link similar to:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.php?p=20371560

That takes one to that quoted thread, showing a single post. It is a bit of a pain since one then has to click on the link at the top of the page to see the entire thread.

https://www.bikeforums.net/general-c...l#post20371560

Are you looking at notifications in your profile, and not in E-Mail?

I'm on a laptop using Chrome.

And yesterday was the first time since the change I could actually embed images from a URL like I used to do forever. Then I just was posting in a thread a minute ago and it's not working again. I didn't change anything on my end.

This has all been going on since the swap over. Sucks trying to even participate here anymore.

I also had to go into my custom options and change the view mode because I couldn't get a text box whenever I tried to reply to a post.

This is the only site I have issues with so it's obviously related to the software change.

That's strange, those are all bugs we've been fixing up in the past few weeks. Try deleting your cookies/cache in browser.

Ok, realized when I was clearing the cache in the past to try and fix this I wasn't doing it for all time, duh! That fixed the quote issue. I still can't embed images though. It it strange because it did work for the first time 2 days ago and then stopped working again. Don't see anything in my options that may effect that.

This laptop is still running Windows 7 if that matters. But I was having the same issue on a Windows 10 machine.

Old thread I know, but I was looking for a way to turn off email quote notifications, but I'm not able to find it in the User Control Panel.

Is there a way to disable this? TYIA.

Uncheck
one or all, unsubscribe from one or all, that's one way. Turning off subscriptions another. Are you set to automatically subscribe when you post to a thread? Can you turn that of or change settings for that?

I mean you, as I found out I have almost 600 subscriptions this way, although 30-50 are some I visit regularly and some others are of interest to keep up on.

Link doesn't work for me. I'm just trying to unsubscribe to everything. This board seems to send me an email notification every time I sneeze, so I'm trying to unclutter my inbox as much as possible. I really don't need email notifications of anything actually.

go to User CP>Subscribed Threads>List Subscriptions

You'll see a list of all your subscriptions and you'll be able to edit them and unsubscribe.
