TDF Mountain Gearing

Anybody know what gearing the pros use for mountain stages of the big races??

Thanks, fietsbob. I don't pay much attention to pro racing, so I wasn't familiar with cyclingnews.com.
Here is an article that directly addresses the question wrt Fabian Cancellara.

Keep in mind that, along with the top equipment and carefully selected gearing and whatnot, the pros also use EPO, steroids, blood transfusions, and any number of dirty tricks that haven't been outed or explicitly banned yet.

So if you want to ride like the pros, get you bike set up, then get injecting!

In the Vuelta a few years back they used triples on the 20+% grades. I think now they use the compact set ups.
You must remember that like all professional athletes they are freaks of nature.

I noticed in today's Stage 10 victory that Froome rides lumpy chainrings...........

IIRC a few others on SKY do as well. There aren't many others on the tour that do though. I may be wrong...

Looked like the shots on todays stage 10 the cassette had a wider range than They used last week.

WOW! Those are SERIOUSLY not round. I mean, I've seen the bio pace rings. You have to spin those to realize that they aren't round but JEEZE. Froome's stick out like a sore thumb.
