Have a bike with the Sturmey Archer drum/dynamo....

Have a bike with the Sturmey Archer drum/dynamo. It's less powerful than a dry rim brake and way more powerful than a wet rim brake. Does the same thing no matter what the weather. Good for a winter...

52x11 is a bigger gear than most race bikes come with. If your long downhill sections are such that you "need" that, you will actually go faster if you lean forward, tuck your body...

And another thing.... In the French system "700" meant the tire was 700mm across, and "700C" was specifically a tire about 38mm wide. When they mark a tire as 700x25c today, it's neither "700"...
