MIPS is a joke. That little improvement isn't going to do anything to prevent head trauma. Helmets are only effective in mild crashes...it's absurd to think people have so much faith in helmets.

I would not use those Compas tires with that wimpy Panaracer type casing. It's supple, it rides great, and then it tears and there goes 50$ a tire...not for me been there don't that.

You will feel the seat press on your bones, but it should not hurt. Soft seats don't support the spine...

The old Deores are great. Get the heavy ones with the metal everywhere. It will be a black in the middle with a textured surface that reads deore. Once you take some simichrome they'll gleam.

Suntour Cyclone is better than any of that vintage Shimano garbage. As one poster said the later Ultegra 600 stuff is the cats meow. The cranks are light and well made. I don't like the plastic bits...
