That is an excellent suggestion! And if I wanted to use a Sturmey AM in the future the spacing would be right for the normal axle! I will probably set this frame up more than one way in the future....

Take out a spacer or two, make the hub 114 and use the GS with a 4-speed. More appropriate for earlier bikes. My 59 Cinelli is 114 with a GS.

1. Head badge has 2 rivets (gold lion-red badge thin steel)
2. Simplex down tube shifters are 2 piece steel (w/black plastic ends and wing nuts)

Doesn't the "Tubi Speciali Rinforzati" indicate that the tubes are butted? If I'm not mistaken I think the main tubes on the Super Course were straight guage 531.
