I have been looking at the 2005 Buenos Aires with campy for $2000. How do you like it?

Here's my Klein Aura V just purchased yesterday at a LBS for $950. I have Look pedals on it.

I love it man. I don't have much to compare it with as its my first road bike, but i did test ride the Specialized Allez Sport (too compact), the Scott Speedster S2 (wasn't a big fan), and three different Treks, 1200/1500/2100 (liked them all, the 2100 the best, of course). I could tell the diff between the Lemond and all of the aluminum bikes easily, despite being a novice. The Lemond just seemed to ride smoother, and felt better.

New to the sport. I just ordered a Giant OCR Limited. Should be in this friday. I can't wait.
I love this forum, lots of great info.

Hey Guys,

I am new to this forum, and relativly new to road biking(but have been mountain biking for about 2 years). I am 13, and want to start racing road bikes soon, so I got a used(but VERY lightly used) Trek 1000.

I need to replace the seat. It doesn't fit very well.

Looks like a perfect commuter bike: Disk brakes, road tires, and a flat bar.

I don't have a picture because it is on loan (indefinately) in Dallas (I'm in Oklahoma). I was a roadie back in High School in the flatlands of South Texas. I road on a 1988 Raleigh Technium 460 which is still in use by a kid who needs it more than I do. I upgraded the non-areo break levers to aero. I also put on now extinct Sampson clipless pedals--you know the one with the cleat that hangs down in the back (LOOK in the front and this big thing hanging down in the back. I've got great trails near me so I mostly do MTN biking--though when I get the funds I'll be buying a good entry level road bike for conditioning purposes.

Basically, a less expensive, less black C'dale Bad Boy (minus the headshok)

Very nice touch with the blue side walls. When those babys wear out you must replace them with blue side wall tires again.

Nice Rides !

Here is my Old School 1989 Trek 5000 with 8 sp Dura Ace.

http://img273.imageshack.us/img273/7...00left28xh.jpg

I'm currently upgrading it to a 9-10 STI Dura Ace with a Flight Deck system. I also have some American Classic 420 wheels that will go on it. I'll post pictures again once those parts are on.

I hope to build a new Road Bike soon, however I wanted to update this reliable old friend for now.

 Thanks, it hasn't been ridden much in that last 5 years, but before that I always trained and rode 1 or 2 Century's on it every year.

New to the site but I just bought a red/yellow Felt Fourty-Five with 105's all the way around added an Aero Bar and a Cateye wireless.

michiganj.frog 07-31-05 05:37 PM

Hi all, new to the forum. I ride an Airborne Blackbird with complete ultegra 10 with a double ring. Bontrager wheelset that I'm probably going to swap out soon (too flexy) and a fizik Arione saddle which is very sweet.

My bike is an Olmo Millenium with Campy Centaur/Chorus drive train and Zonda wheels, Time RXS pedals, FSA Wing Pro Bars, Thomson stem, Cateye wireless, Ritchey carbon seat post and Selle Italia saddle. Here's a photo of an Olmo Millenium. The photo file of my bike was too large to upload.

I love this thread...lots of bike porn! :)

For what its worth I have a 2003, Klein Qprocarbon, sliver-blue, Ultregra components, with Bontrager Race Lite wheels, seat post, handle bars and Continential Grand Prix 3000 tires. Great tires by the way.
