Our new Burley Tandem and my dedicated "Team of Stokers" (daughters).... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...es/Stokers.jpg Out on a 25 mile Charity Ride with my then 8 year old stoker (oldest daughter)... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...CycleSound.jpg As the twins grew we eventually removed the "Child Stoker Crank" (this particular twin daughter has dibs on the bike as soon as she has the space for it)... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/DadKaren.jpg One final oldie - - - Here's part of a 14 person ride from the camping area in Hamlin Beach State Park to the Bluffs to watch the sunset. My wife and three daughters as well as the neighbor and her daughter plus cousins etc. gathered to wait for some slower riders to catch up. We were quite a gang that evening.... That little neighbor girl in front is currently a Junior in College. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...icycles/56.jpg |

More Hockenheim Fahrrad Tag (Bicycle day) pictures:
I must admit though that seeing what they did to that XKE brought a tear to my eye. |
Another oldly but moldy, LOL, here's a photo of my Son, Steven (who will be 39 at the end of the month) and I packing up from our first NORBA Novice MTB race in 1985. I rode a Raliegh Mt. Crested Butte hardtail/ridged and he rode a 20in. Ross 5 speed hardtail/ridged. We had a BLAST that day, he's pointing to the NORBA sticker on the bumper!

That brings back a lot of memories, used to have a bike rack like that, hauled a lot of bikes with it.

Nice pics!
I must admit though that seeing what they did to that XKE brought a tear to my eye. Almost as good as the car a buddy of mine had in high school, a 1937 Packard Hearse equipped with a mattress in the back. |

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psf3953d2a.jpg A rare occurrence on my road bike, but when I travel with my daughter it is way easier to get on the bike rack than my recumbotruck: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psb83fa91d.jpg |

Big Four https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...lJeuaebMZ9OYPg Here in Cincinnati, a road / train bridge was converted to a pedestrian and bike bridge. It gets a lot of use. Removed RR tracks on the left, walkway in the middle, and two lane road bridge converted to walking and biking on the right: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-D...7/IMG_0658.JPG |

Wow, when I saw "Big Four" I wondered if it was that abandoned bridge with both approaches removed. I would see it when I visited Louisville.

Big Four https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...lJeuaebMZ9OYPg Here is the Indiana side: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psc80f564f.jpg In fairness to the Hoosiers, I don't think they gave it the same budgetary priority. When their side is complete, we'll have easy access to an extensive network of trails in Southern Indiana. It will be MUP heaven. |

VERY cold. It got so cold my camera quit working a mile later. We hit a white out with winds blowing 30 mph. Only about 100-150 of the 1500 made it up and over that day. The rest were either bussed from the top or they turned back around and were bused from Estes to Granby. A few were sent to the hospital. |
