Tomorrow is my day to ride. Gonna be in the upper 60s F and gusty winds from the NW. If I head out somewhat early headed north, the the return will be a fine tail wind making me feel young again.

It's almost flyover time here! Gonna drive out to where I think we'll have a good view of one of their turns. Unfortunately no Blue Angels or Tbirds for us, just regular ol' grey birds of the USAF and ANG.

Or the wind will shift when you turn around, resulting in a proper workout! :)

I guess it’s sort of in the general area?? I live just south of Saratoga and like it here, good riding and lots to do. I’d never live in Albany or the immediate surrounding area like Colonie and Guilderland.

Our other house is in Marblehead, MA- talk about a great area to do things, but riding around there is death wish level with all of the M*******s.

Since I'm becoming a boozehound in the lockdown, I picked up some oranges with the notion of making old fashioneds. Upon cutting one open, though, I decided that I couldn't just relegate them to muddle and garnish duty - it had such beautiful pink/orange flesh, was nice and juicy and smelled great. I tried one slice and then immediately ate all but one wedge.

Afterwards, I had to look them up so that I could buy some more. They're Cara Cara oranges. I need to go back to my hippy co-op for more, because I don't think that I'm finding them at Target.

Eh... the in-laws live in Scotia. The whole area is beautiful, but it's lacking in things to do. Now Saratoga is nice, but that's quite a bit from Albany.

And I also have cousins in Marblehead. Actually a lot of family in MA. Preaching to the choir about M*******s. I have no idea what's in the water there, but NY should saddle up and invade. Put the "empire" back in Empire State!

Seagull Century (Salisbury, MD) is like that as well, ~101 miles with a total ascent of 158 miles...

I love Marblehead, it’s a great small town when you’re in the older areas. We’re probably going to unload our house there this year as it’s becoming more effort than it’s worth to keep and we haven’t been there since flying in to Logan from a trip to Austin at the end of Feb right before all hell broke loose. It’s a bummer, we can’t even go now just to check on the house be cause the outbreak there is far worse than up here.

My ex wife is from Scotia.

The quarantine has upped my alcohol consumption quite a bit too. I think we’re keeping the brewery around the corner afloat singlehandedly.

If you’re downtown, take a walk to City Island in the middle of the river. There’s an old bridge that’s now closed to cars.
