A Musical Frame

Spotted this at a vintage bike fair today: a frame in the shape of a G key. According to its owner it was built to order for a musician, who never collected it. Still in as-new condition.

spiker 08-22-21 04:00 PM

Major or minor inconvenience.

Needs a proper bag to store Clef bars to stave off hunger.

:foo: I agree it looks sorta like a treble clef.

I wonder if they considered better cranks. Keeps your tempo up.

There is 78 year old resident of Weston, CT. who plays five stringed Telecasters tuned to G (tuning Low to High is x G D G B D )
Perhaps he might enjoy that. It might make for a unique prop to pose with for an album/cd cover.
Its a gas.. Slap a CAPO on the 4th Fret da da, dad duh da duh.......
You might want to telephone him in the next few days because he's gonna be doing a few shows on the road with his group starting in September.

I don't see a music staff on the bike, so ... do you know anybody who plays in open C?

thook 08-22-21 06:04 PM

what? how could anyone refrain from actually collecting their order? he/she needs to be behind bars. the injustice!!

thinktubes 08-22-21 07:03 PM

They probably thought it was too fiddly...

3speedslow 08-22-21 07:10 PM

BFisher 08-22-21 07:11 PM

Could use a fluted seat post.

What's the wheel bass?

himespau 08-22-21 07:41 PM

Are the pedals behind the saddle? Sorry no pun.

Tbone5 08-22-21 08:54 PM

Is it me, or does that fork need a tuning?

I bet that bike just hums down the road.

Probably picked it up for a song.

sorry, just couldn’t help myself😀

droppedandlost 08-23-21 09:47 AM

CV-6 08-23-21 10:55 AM

Geez. It took me a couple of beats to figure out the music references.

thook 08-23-21 11:18 AM

so much fun...picking at this thread. i image we could really string this one along drumming up so many puns

non-fixie 08-23-21 11:18 AM

I knew I would find an appreciative audience here. :) Thanks guys!

BTW, the bike is for sale, and according to another visitor of said fair who test-rode the bike it is straight and rides "better than expected". FWIW.
