WTB: Campag. Record Titanium braze-on 9sp front derailleur

From around the mid 1990s. User-condition is fine. Here's a Velobase URL to what I think it should look like.

The Velobase description has the titanium derailleur listed at 108 grams. Does that seem a little bloated to anyone?
I have a Record 9-speed front mech FD-21SRE that weighs only 88 grams.
It's available for sale if you don't have any luck scoring the titanium version. PM me if interested.

So many of the FD's are the same with different silk screening. Two things to watch out for, fist is the length of the parallel arms. The long ones are for triples and may not work well on doubles. Second is the ability to swap mounts between clamp on and braze on. Just remove the screw on the left of the d in Record in the above pic .

Is this correct? I was under the impression the width of the cage determines triple or double.

The triple version is really obvious, it has a very "tall" inner plate. I just picked up a Record FD for a build (same as you want) and it ran $145.00- that is kind of the current going rate for Ex-cond.

The VB entry says weight as pictured, which includes the separate clamp-on attachment. Not sure why they weighed it that way. :foo:

Mine weighs 80 grams.
Trying to sell as a complete group set though :)

The cage can be different as the end that typically has a screw has a longer reach to facilitate the small ring and may be stamped with a feature to help move the chain for the 3 ring only.
These are two different FD but the same actuation design.
First up is the triple I thought would work on the double. Turned out that the length of the arms, as noted above, were longer and the outer ring was too close to the frame for the cage to clear the outer ring. Note the location of the "D" of RECORD relative to the screw on the right. Also note where the FD is on the braze on mount compared to the double mounting location.

This is a double FD. Note the location of the "D" relative to the screw. A double FD was purchased as a clamp on and converted to braze on by removing a screw and swapping the parts.

The price of 10v parts in Record are high. The seller of the triple did not state it was for a triple and I doubt he knew the difference.

Found another two, 89 and 91 grams, no idea why the first one is so much lighter :)
