Happy to be able to squeeze in a metric this morning. Really windy, though - one of those days that served as a constant reminder to stay low. Now I need to pump up the tire in the wheelbarrow and get my pitchfork ready - the wife is having 8 cubic yards of mulch delivered and you can prolly guess who gets to be the beast of burden.

Kudos and good luck.

Nope. I had entertained the idea of a metric, but within 10 miles I was starting to question the entire ride. On fumes by the end of a shorter ride. Not a great experience.

Yesterday I learned Total Wine delivers

Today: La Pinela

Oh, I could go for a few of those right about now. What's the verdict?

Need to get my hands on a specific liqueur for a cocktail that my wife wants. I see that Total has it...

I got about 80% of the mulch distributed. I'm pooped. I was going to write more, but I find myself staring in to space.

And I was able to get this:

Plus some gin to make this:

Iím trying to decide which will go best with dinner. Pulled Pork Sanwiches, slaw and corn on the cob.

Blackberry is bad enough, but corn in ice cream?

Do you cut kernels off the cobb directly into the mixer?

How about no.

Heathpack 05-03-20 04:46 PM

Pegu Club aka the gin drink:

The daiquiri:

The disadvantage of the daiquiri is that requires more lime juice, which will leave me lime insecure until I get me next Instacart order on Thursday.

Velo Vol 05-03-20 04:47 PM

It could be canned corn.

(Didn't there used to be a vomiting emoji?)

Lol well itís a good thing you are not invited to the socially distant taco soirťe. It will avoid any awkwardness.

I think that I can fit some cheesecake in to the caloric budget today.

I did three or four hours of yard work before lunch. Figured I'd do a two or three hour ride after lunch. I changed my plan, after the first hill. Probably should have worn sunscreen. :o

Yardwork is dumber than running.

No pre-hydration. Rookie mistake.

My emergency water was not needed today. I thought about stopping at Melton Hill Dam restrooms for a drink, but the park was "closed." Well, it was for most people, but not Velo Vol. I snuck around the gate and kept riding. I didn't bother stopping to see if the bathrooms were locked. Hydration was the least of my problems.

Slacker. When I was in elementary school we had to mix our ice cream manually. I could dial it up to 400W even at that age.

indyfabz 05-03-20 05:24 PM

A gill-free dinner featuring pork chops in lemon caper sauce. Yo.

But then again, which of us made three kinds of ice cream this weekend?
