Hopefully it's not like an Amazon Prime free trial where you have to put down credit card info and if you forget to cancel by the end of the trial period it charges you for the next month

Ouch - Phil Gaimon had been training for an Everesting record. I don't know what the record is/was, but he was aiming for 8 hours, which he fell just short of [edit: assuming the stats stand, he beat the record by more than 40 minutes]. Crazy ride stats -

I was certified to work on electric vehicles so I'm ok with them. Even some hybrids are ok in my book.:)

Years ago there was an event called the Mountaingate Century to promote RAAM. I don't know if anyone finished it but it was 50 times up and back for 100 miles and 35,000 feet. It's 1 mile from bottom to top and gains 700 feet so I don't know why the numbers are so different there (wiki). Maybe they just did part of the ramp.

Here's the Strava log of the ride - https://www.strava.com/activities/3437284857

Looks like they didn't go all the way up to the T-intersection with Canyonback, if that's what you're talking about.

Everesting has to be up and down a segment, and recorded on Strava. You need to pick your route carefully, because you don't want a nice long climb that will gain you 3k per rep, simply because the descent ends up taking too long. Fatigue for most humans is real, and reducing the time on the bike is a very important consideration.

Ouch. I wouldn't even want to ride down that.

Yes, a different ride that way. I can't think of anything more tedious or boring to do on a bike, even if I was capable of it I would never do it.

BF member has done several of these. No thanks.

Everesting is stupid.

Just saying.

Nah, I can cancel anytime up until my build date comes up. Then, I have to poop or get off the pot. My son owns a Tesla 3 and has been through this. There's a good chance that I'll cancel my order when the time comes but who knows...

That's nothin'. I climbed 381 ft yesterday.

It doesn't sound like big john is cut out for it. Many aren't.

Have you checked to see if the bed is long enough for a tandem?

That would be good for climbing the highest peak in Florida. Or Britton Hilling, as some call it.
