Not to me...

Yup. Our mood trends back to normal and the **** sandwich begins to taste like bad chicken salad, but every disaster leaves a mark.

He had an accident and broke his hip about a month ago. He was taking a break from BF, regardless, but yeah.

Sounds like you got tubeless valve stems, not valve extenders.

Speaking of which, I had food poisoning through the night and am too weak to be cranky today. Woo woo

He didn't confirm, but that certainly seems to be the case, based on the abrupt end of his last cycling activity on Strava.

We had 61° yesterday, I took the opportunity to clean and flush the gutters.

Today is forecast warm too, maybe I'll cut some kindling.

Do you get sick from drinking the water?

Why would there be extenders for tubeless?

No cycling?!? :foo:

We had some excitement last night. Rango got into some kind of contretemps with an unidentified animal. Came in smelling BAD. Not like skunk, though. Still, we ended up deskunking him (H2O2 + baking soda + dish soap, followed by thorough rinse), but he was all wound up and slept poorly, plus all the activity seems to have triggered his neck problem a bit.

Those are fancier vans than we have around here. Limey's must love their cones.

big john 12-17-21 10:07 AM

When my friend and I had a shop we worked on ice cream trucks for a guy who had 4 of them, iirc. He had a regular job and his wife ran one of the trucks and employees drove the others. It was a lot of work and time for what was basically supplemental income. At least to hear him tell it they didn't make a ton of money.
Always paid his bill, though.

There are several that circulate around here all year, a couple of the larger ones, too, but they are kinda beat up. One has a problem with the generator so it revs up and down spewing noxious exhaust. Sucks when it stops near our house to sell to the local kids. They come by as late as 9:30.

You'd be surprised how little "mom and pop" businesses make. Most basically provide the owners with a job with a 5-figure paycheck, and don't have a lot of upside potential.
