anybody else get double vision?
when you can see with your left eye, see with your right eye, but the two images do not coincide.
Happens frequently while riding; never when not riding. Stand up & Im as good as new. I would guess it has something to do with: leaning over forward, exercise, ? |
I'm not a medical doctor, but perhaps you should visit one.
|
Maybe you're changing your focal point much more frequently while cycling in a way that you don't while driving. Try not looking at close objects like your bike computer or gears, and then quickly looking far ahead, and then quickly close again, and then far ahead, etc.. You could be straining/fatiguing your focal muscles. There's nothing on your bike computer that matters, unless of course you have a power meter :)
If that doesn't make a difference, go see an ophthalmologist. |
I think it is vaccine damage it can show up years later
|
My wife has diplopia. She won’t be commenting so I will try.
You need to see the ophthalmologist ASAP. There is a good chance you have one of the common varieties and can be treated easily. There are also a good variety of possibilities that you won’t like at all. Don’t be surprised if you get referred to additional specialists. Pick up the phone and call the doctor. |
I have a similar problem. I get double vision anytime I'm on a bike ... and see a recumbent recumbent.
|
I only get it when I'm in a foreign country.

I that when I got new glasses trifocals. going from one computer monitor to another was hell.
|
Like the other poster noted, what you have is NOT normal and you need to see an ophthalmologist. Had a retina detach and will never put off getting a vision problem resolved ASAP and neither should you.
|
Time to seek medical attention.
Double mint gum is good tho. |
See a doctor, pronto. Could be a pinched nerve in your neck, could be a eye problem, could be a lot of things.
|
Once read about a soldier that saw everything twice. Later Yossarian claimed to have the same ailment.
|
Only when I'm feeling down n' dirty, feeling kinda mean.
[sorry.] |

When you see the doc, ask him if he prefers Shimano or SRAM.

I always get double vision when I try to turn my head to check for traffic. But that's mostly because I wear glasses. Being leaned over tends to confuse the brain too. I close one eye when I have to turn my head to check for traffic.

Probably that, do you have a picture of your riding posture on your bike including how your head is rotated?
Have you recently adopted a new riding posture? |
