Sourdough is overrated.

I made sourdough bread every week for years. I let the very slack dough rise in a cool basement for 24 hrs. Kneaded if minimally, proofed it in a linen-lined basket and baked it in special pans over a pan of water, all to get that palate-lacerating crust and the chewy “country” crumb with the big bubbles and I never got the taste or the texture quite to where I wanted them. Then LSS found a quick and dirty recipe for a commercial yeast bread cooked in a closed Dutch oven. In two hours, it yielded a restaurant quality bread with a beautiful, soft interior, golf ball size bubbles and, and crust like an asphalt shingle. I just gave up.

Have you had a check up? That doesn’t seem right.

Oh man. "It's a sad day for Corner Gas fans, or anyone in Saskatchewan that loves the grain elevator."

It's been a few years.

The more I think of it, my tastes have changed noticeably. I don't eat as much really rich foods. I want to eat them, but when I sit down with a meal, I fill up very quickly..

Wow, that’s a huge loss. How did that happen, you look fine at 200.

141 at 6'2" is frakkin' GAUNT!

I live where restaurant quality bread is what supermarkets all sell, so I never really saw the need to make my own. Same with homebrewing beer. Now, if I could grow my own tomatoes, I would.

I’m not a doctor, but mine always ask if I’ve had any unexplained weight loss.

That was my thought, doesn’t hurt to check.

Yes it is. How is your climbing?

According to the internet’s, “If you experience a 5 percent weight loss in 6 to 12 months, or if you notice any of the above symptoms, visit your doctor.”

Maybe he should look at your chart.

If my body is rested and fueled, pretty good for a flatlander. I'm better at climbing, than TT-ing

I think if I was suddenly 60 pounds lighter tomorrow, I could climb like a pro...maybe.

A few weeks ago I had to adjust the air pressure in my shock/forks. I wasn't using about 1/3 of the travel. A HUGE difference in the way it handles now.

A lot of green in that picture, you've gotten some rain lately haven't you.

It was a fairly wet monsoon season. Only 1 huge storm, but it was
HEAVY rain

Mrs. T is 70 years old today and still taking QOMs on Strava.

I have lost weight this year. I haven't weighed myself, but there are signs.

I already climb like a pro. Just not a pro cyclist.
