They are handling it by brining the right equipment.

Ugh, I crashed on my track bike today. Pavement hurts a lot.

Was at a bike path / road intersection and was paying attention to a car instead of the road. Had my hands loosely on the top of the bars and went in to a pretty large pothole, causing my hands to slip off. Banged up my elbow and my knee, tearing a big hole in a knee warmer. Not a scratch to the bike, thankfully.

Two bassoons spotted.

Sounds painful. Thankfully, bodies heal. Bikes not so much.

Seriously, hope you are okay.

Okay, Addiction Mechanics - what's wrong with our car and how much are we going to have to pay?

Noticed and irregular ticking/light knocking today, sometimes with a short squeal once every so often (I don't think it's a belt squeal, though) coming from the accessory belt area. Looked/listened under the hood. I don't see any excessive motion from any of the belts and it didn't give me a squeal while recording. The regular ticking is normal, but you should be able to hear that irregular clickity noise under it.

Belt? Tensioner? Bearing going bad in a pulley someplace? :foo:

You didn't ask for only two INGREDIENTS. Gumbo is a thing.

He told me he never hydrated properly when he rode and now he has developed a condition that when he rides the muscles in his legs cramp so severely he can barely move the next day. There is no cure. Add this to the list of things to be scared of.

Second thing, I told him about my knee pain and how it feels worse on the trainer. He recommended to raise the front wheel about 6 inches. He said that made his wahoo a lot more comfortable. I havnt been using my trainer so I have not tried this yet. What do you guys think about it?

I think raising the front wheel is a common recommendation, for direct drive trainers, not just wheel-on.

Generally, they are a solid color, so spotted would be interesting.

Rainy day today, so I rode on Zwift. I thought about doing the Alpe, but then thought, "What am I, nuts?" and instead went for distance - "The Pretzel", 45 virtual miles, 4400 virtual feet of climbing. Epic KOM both ways, plus the Radio Tower once (thank god it wasn't twice!). Plus the old KOM in both directions. Burned a day's calories. I managed to set off the smoke detector, which required me stop and take the time to disable it.

I seasoned my grill the requisite 4 times using olive oil, packed my lunch of ham, pickle and mustard on wheat English muffin and ironed my clothes. Now it's nap time. No cycling for a former cyclist.

Take the belt off and turn the pulleys by hand, feel for roughness. Carefully place a long screwdriver or pry bar against the center bolt or body of the accessory and press you ear against the screwdriver handle. Good luck

This is just to transmit sound/roughness for diagnosis?

If I should find whatever's failing, is it like to be something that I could swap out myself or am I going to end up taking it to a shop one way or another?

Although, of course, both Red Beans and Andouille contain multiple ingredients, just as Gumbo does. My recipe for Red Beans and Rice has at least 10 ingredients.

We heard them. There was also a ? contra-bassoon-like instrument.

I hope it wasn't the baroque version. Was it 8 feet long?

That upper idler looks to be moving a bit, but may be an illusion. As John says, the long screwdriver will amplify the noise, especially when you put the handle up against your ear. Like a stethoscope.

Glad the bike is okay. More importantly I am glad you are okay.
