I am old, and I ride old-fashioned bikes.
My avatar bike, a Velokraft Nocom: https://i.imgur.com/a3byNi3.jpg My other lowracer, an Optima Baron: http://i.imgur.com/fjDl7AO.jpg my M5 Carbon Highracer: https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...cd2aa99c92.jpg Trike (work in progress,) a Catrike Speed. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...87320501b3.jpg |
Those may be the first 'bents I have seen that I would lust after.
|
My two road bikes are both vintage rides.
The first is a Dutch Gazelle built on a frame that I bought in Holland in 1976. I hung all the parts on it myself. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/My_Gazelle_2013.jpg The second is a 1986 Team Fuji that I bought a little more than a year ago and rehabilitated. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/My_TF_2013.jpg These are some of the bikes that made my blood boil back in the day. These days they just make me smile. :D |
I'm really enjoying this old Jeunet. It has a nice Campy tubular wheelset with cyclocross tires. Nice cushy ride, and I dont worry about hitting pavement breaks.

I don have pictures, but I ride a Rans Stratus LE and a TerraTrike Cruiser. I ride in comfort.
|
I ride this for rides under 15 miles and/or with my daughter:
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psb83fa91d.jpg This is my bent. Looking at the stealth fighters in prior posts gives me a sense of equipment inadequacy, but whatever: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...A1242C9742.jpg This is what I ride when I go near the zombie farm: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psf4293277.jpg |
Just a couple of my more regular rides...
Long distance rides... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps039be75b.jpg For commutes & errands... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...h/IMG_0032.jpg Retro... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...G_3912A580.jpg For rides with a pal... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_1210.jpg For cruising... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3368.jpg |

I'll see if I can find some old people. Really? :notamused:
Jim, I can see you're new, but I've got to warn you, not everyone here thinks of themselves as "old". OK,I'll play... Here are the ones that are currently being ridden. |

When you're "old people" you can get away with riding stuff like:

Some pretty hot um bikes here.
|
About a year ago I bought this Seven used. It is an amazing bike, handling in the mountains is great, but the ride is pretty stiff.
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...hn53/003-2.jpg I also ride off road sometimes. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...john53/019.jpg Before I got the Seven I put about 30,000 miles on this Gunnar. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...john53/003.jpg |
I may be over 50 but I am NOT old. My Fuji.
