Good ride. Another gorgeous fall day. Looks like maybe I am tops with elevation but about to get kicked off the podium.

Go for a ride? Clean your bike?

Time to mow.

(last lawn until Thursday, probably)

Finished a two-week tour home from northern Vermont yesterday. 650 miles.

Ok, I knew that. I thought you might have to get mail, pay bills, get cat, get ready for work tomorrow, clean and service bike, get groceries, do laundry etc. Having nothing to do after being away for so long seemed odd to me.

I watched the World Cycling Championships this morning and then went for an easy and relaxing ride around town. Getting ready to mow my lawn.

I get a bit of toe overlap in tight turns. Because it's a 56cm other than that it fits me pretty well. Was strange feeling to be putting mntn shoes on. Gives me something to ride gravel I guess.
It's going to be a long winter....

Hopefully

A couple weeks ago I noticed your Alfred E. Newman sig line was misspelled. Intentional? You decide.

New trike new dog. If she's harnessed into the old trike she chews on the harness, the padding, and my jacket.

Went for a couple hours on the bike path because no cars. Sometimes I don't want to deal with cars. Yesterday I drove to a ride start which kept me out of the worst of it but still had knuckleheads to watch out for. It makes me want to stay off the roads altogether.

@LesterOfPuppets might be the last of free baseball. Braves are battling for a playoff spot and Joe Musgrove might throw a no hitter.

Got the Bianchi back from the LBS yesterday. Apparently a ratchet spring in front Ergo shifter was broken, making me a victim of the world wide slowdown in sourcing bike parts. Took it out for 55 miles and OMG, that was fun! Another "OMG, I LOVE this bike!" day.

I realize that with each of my "modern" bikes, I get that, "If I only had this bike, that would be okay" feeling, which I don't get with the C&V bikes. I love riding those, and I don't really baby them, but still, none of them gives me that 'This could serve as my ONLY bike' feeling.
