Good ride. Another gorgeous fall day. Looks like maybe I am tops with elevation but about to get kicked off the podium.

Did I miss something? Did you retire or just on vacation? Usually I'm on top of things.:foo:

Took my Trek Alpha cx bike out again today. Another 20some miles. It's not horrible. I swapped the seat to a Roman Evo today from a toupe yesterday, much better. I get a bit of toe overlap in tight turns. Because it's a 56cm other than that it fits me pretty well. Was strange feeling to be putting mntn shoes on. Gives me something to ride gravel I guess.
It's going to be a long winter.... |

Went for a couple hours on the bike path because no cars. Sometimes I don't want to deal with cars. Yesterday I drove to a ride start which kept me out of the worst of it but still had knuckleheads to watch out for. It makes me want to stay off the roads altogether.

A couple weeks ago I noticed your Alfred E. Newman sig line was misspelled. Intentional? You decide.

@LesterOfPuppets might be the last of free baseball. Braves are battling for a playoff spot and Joe Musgrove might throw a no hitter. |

Got the Bianchi back from the LBS yesterday. Apparently a ratchet spring in front Ergo shifter was broken, making me a victim of the world wide slowdown in sourcing bike parts. Took it out for 55 miles and OMG, that was fun! Another "OMG, I LOVE this bike!" day.
I realize that with each of my "modern" bikes, I get that, "If I only had this bike, that would be okay" feeling, which I don't get with the C&V bikes. I love riding those, and I don't really baby them, but still, none of them gives me that 'This could serve as my ONLY bike' feeling. |
