So true. I am resigned to being cold until May.
We are replacing the 20-odd, huge, 1970s casement windows on the back of the house this Fall and maybe I'll feel better about turning up the thermostat a few degrees after that. |

The plan starting next Sunday:
Dashboard · Ride with GPS Train to Woodcrest then ride to Wharton State Forest. I have never camped there. Day 2 to Belleplain State Forest. I have been there so many times one of the rangers recognizes my name on the reservation list. Day 3 to Cape May to catch the ferry to Lewes for two nights at and Cape Henlopen State Park, a former military base that was donated to the state after WWII and turned into a park. (DE riding not shown on the map). Great bike infrastructure within the park and surrounding area. Extremely popular place, even at this time of year. Large campground booked solid for the weekend. Day 5: Early ferry back to Cape May then up the coast to AC for a train home. The map is wonky in the Erma/Rio Grande area because Google Maps has not been updated to show some relatively new recreation path/trail mileage. Hoping for a nice tailwind up the coast. Also hoping the weather cooperates. |
