[QUOTE=restlessswind;20260004]What are some suggestions on 110 (4.25") grips? I find the typical 120mm -130mm grips too long on OEM bars. I have found some Raleigh type reproductions by Kenda https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ral...19.m1438.l2649
But I was hoping to find something a little more comfy.[/QUOT Simple green has cleaned the white grips to mostly new every time. Purple Power works as well. If you know how to get them off.Hot water |
Snow sucks about now

OOOH YEAH...Those big 28" wheels and check out the slack frame angles. Not for everybody, but they have a loyal and enthusiastic following. Wonderful bikes.

Its the name of a dude that lived in the area. They were even going to name St. Paul after him. Now there is a just a lake by that name, near the Warner Road bike path.
And the snow sucks. |

Went to a well-known antiques place in the area today looking for an oddly dimensioned window sash for a project I have in mind. I've posted before about the bikes I've found there, usually weathered and/or damaged and wildly overpriced. Today's finds were unpriced and I did not ask because I was on a mission. Found my window.
Nice little Sears made in Austria, missing a few parts. Attachment 605798 Badly resprayed Raleigh Sports that matches its backdrop. Don't look too closely lest you suffer as I did. Attachment 605799 Huffy Sports featuring a mighty Made In England decal on the downtube. Nice little bike. Attachment 605800 Attachment 605801 |

This three speed thing is getting busy around here. I am picking up this green sports tomorrow. Seller said it was a decoration in his home. Anyone know what year they started using this chain ring?
|
Nice chainring on the Sears, these seem to be common on European 3 speeds
|
The term comes from Step thru market bike. When you have a bike loaded up with stuff and it is heavy, one cannot easily kick your leg over the seat and back. It is just easier to step thru the frame to get on the bike.
|
Looks like a 23" ladies' frame. Everybody needs one.
