It did that! Very pretty - if it cuts anywhere near as good as it looks, go for it.

Funny timing; here’s exactly what I’ll have shortly:

The heirloom knife, the forever knife, the never-to-be-parted-with knife.

It makes me think that they think that they're not being stupid. Or, at the very least, they think that their level of stupidity isn't enough to rise above the noise of the internet.

Passenger volume is still down about 90% compared to year-ago levels.

The Bloodroot is on the way home? **** yeah!

Yeah, the Fujiyamas are forged by Y Tanaka and are now being sharpened this new guy, who apprenticed under Morihiro.

I paid extra for more legroom, even though I likely could have had my choice of seats. Plus, 2nd row, so I'm off that plane quickly

LAJ 06-05-20 07:37 PM

Those knives are pretty cool looking. I know not what I'm looking at, but can certainly appreciate delicious workmanship.

Yeah, good question. I think the woman thought she was being clever and was simply intoxicated with what she felt as her power over the man with the phone, so yeah, I guess. This guy, by contrast, appeared to be in full-on berserker mode, doing something incredibly stupid in a highly public setting in one of the most affluent, educated, hooked-up, and politicized places on the planet. I'd he'd weighed his chances for 10 milliseconds, he would have stopped and apologized.

Edit: There seems to be some evidence that he tried to get the phone, so maybe he realized belatedly that he'd ruined his knucklehead life.

What's a unit like that cost these days?

Seems the internets initially doxxed the wrong person, possibly via Strava? Anyone know how?

Two innocent people, actually. Strava and magical mob thinking. Everyone said it had to be a cop, so they found one. :(

we had a cold front move through. Only hit 107° today. Supposed to be struggling to hit 100 this weekend

What was on Strava, though? Someone there at about the same time?

I reckon being a dick while wearing mirrored aviators potentially puts LEOs at risk
:)

I'm guessing locals that rode around there that day checked their flybys

It would be funny if it was someone simply walking....

Unpossible. Walks don't count.

Actually, low 50s is pretty cold for a high here. Could be 30s in the morning. 50s isn't too bad at work if it's not windy or I'm not sick. 50s is fine on the bike if I'm dressed for it. 30s is fine on the bike if I'm dressed for it. I've ridden in the mountains in the low 20s and was ok. Pcad told me about putting chemical warmers between the shoes and shoe covers. It works!

Velo Vol 06-05-20 08:13 PM

If Strava is now being used to incriminate people I should probably dial back my average speed those 20-30 m.p.h. zones.

Up early for ride prep. It’s still dark at 4:30AM.

FYI they made an arrest in the French shower cyclist incident.

People said he had “the walk” too, but that was just the cleats.

I watched this video on climbing K2, and on the summit day they started climbing at like 11 p.m. wut

P.S. Mountaineering is even dumber than cycling.
