looking for a reliable basic tune-up shop in NYC

a single-speed friendly shop in NYC that performs basic tune-ups (checking out things, adjusting things to normal, plus possible light tru-ing etc) and repairs in trustable way that you folks would recommend?
back in the the biking scene after a long hiatus and finding all the old school shops are goners. i see most of OTR prices for tune-up ranges like 80 - 100 bucks. sure that's how it's done nowadays, trying to see if you folks know some secret spots. if not sharable, DM's fine too. many thanks in advance!

80-100 for a tune up in a big city like NYC seems pretty reasonable. I work elsewhere in a different city and we charge $140 base price and similar at other shops in our area.

I don't know many shops in NYC but Bicycle Habitat has been around since the late 70s I believe so would be worth checking out. It is possible though unlikely they might have discounted tune ups for single speeds or can look at your bike and break it down in what is needed and that might come out cheaper.

I seem to recall a bike co-op in Dumbo that might teach you how to tune-up your rig for a small donation. I rode a fixie for years (in another city) btw and learned quickly how to ensure the bike performed well in every season. Rule one: Lube the chain.

Wouldn't hurt to narrow down to a specific neighborhood. Kind of stupid recommending Roys Sheepshead Cycles in southern Brooklyn if you live in Douglaston Queens.
