Show Your Dashboard Photos Here!

Hey everyone,

I had an idea for a while about this thread. I always thought that photos of the top of your handle bars looking over your shifters/computer/ drops etc. was pretty cool looking. Thats why I decided to start this thread and have people post what their dash board looks like. I'll start...

"Ask, and ye shall receive". :D

The first is a pic of my "dashboard in motion" - loafing along at 11mph, at mile 55 of the last Salinas century. The second, while not a picture OF the dashboard, is a picture FROM the dashboard descending Mt. Diablo in a group.

After reading the title I thought this was going to be a thread about Mac's...
Which is better Mac or PC? ;)

Good idea & nice thread, I'll get one up as soon as I can. :)

I love the Flightdeck http://www.htguide.com/forum/images/...icon_thumb.gif http://www.htguide.com/forum/images/...icon_thumb.gif

The 2 things I like most is that I can control everything from the brake hoods, and I love the gear indicator :)

Only problem I had was initial set up on the left side. The gear indicator would not work, until I bent the contact tab out further and made sure it was aligned properly. No problems since.

Here is a dashboard Sweep :D

Sharp eyes! Yup, that particular bike is a 1988 Miyata 215ST touring bike. 18 speeds, indexed DT shifting, cantilever brakes, rack. I've done 6 centurys on it this year. My other vintage bike is a 1974 Mondia Super. I usually just ride it around town, but I've done a couple of metrics on it this year, as well.

Dang, I have to get my digital camera working so I can post too. There is only one thing nerdier that posting a photo of your dash, and that's just looking at other people's dashes!

I like how many front wheels are not in-line with the bars, looks that way any-way.

Serpico 10-19-05 09:59 PM

Yup - I noticed mine was askew when I took the picture. I then spent the next 50+ miles being driven crazy by knowing it and not having a hex key to fix it with. It drove me batty!!

Thank you!! I must confess that the Miyata is now officially semi-retired. I just bought a Giant OCR Limited for the long rides, and favor the Mondia for the 20-50 milers.
