Lousy week of riding for me. Did 16mi on my SS MTB on Monday, but haven't been on able to get out again, and won't be able to until Saturday morning (I hope). My daughter's travel softball team has started up for their fall season, and it dictates everything. Tonight, I'm going to try to get my Zwift rig set up again so I can squeeze in some pedal-turning a little more often.

And I thought, "Sixty three". There. No numbers. Just words.

Sounds like me - I have two "friends", my wife and my daughter.

I was born the year before the end of the Corvair era.

My dad had a Corvair van parked in the backyard of our house for a while. I never saw it actually run, and it was eventually hauled off. I think I've only seen 1 or 2 of them on the road since. A neighbor had a convertible. I thought it was pretty cool.

Yeah, I need to update mine, it's been asking. Blah! I'm not ready for off season yet. I've had a cross bike for like 9 months...I've never ridden it, lol. I bought it to go gravel grind with my crew. It just doesn't excite me. Zwift is OK but for a hour. Then I'm done. One of my buddies has 16 centuries on zwift this year. That's Friken cray cray yo.

I look forward to hearing of it all.

I think my wife is done with the road and fine with giving up her bikes. We had those two cyclists get killed on South Boulder Road within two miles of each other. She got spooked and I also got spooked there for a while. She's gone to MTB.

I need to update mine, too. It's been a few months since I fired it up. My typical sessions are about an hour. I've done a few of about 1-1/2 hours, but much more than that is about all I can tolerate. The idea of doing a century - even a metric one - is not something I'm remotely interested in.

Combining age and comment above, I am old enough to make this association

I got spooked by all the salt built up under the top tube on the Ritchey (which was my Zwifting bike), so I ordered the thru axle adapter for the Kickr Snap I'm using, and I've been using the Canyon as my trainer bike. I'm still waiting for The Younger Boy to buy his new computer so I can steal his old one, and replace the aging laptop I use. I want to cast shadows! I'm not a vampire!

Well, I may not have real FB friends, but it seems that this little morsel really wants to go for a ride together. She pops up about every time I check in.

I had a 66 coupe. Looked like the one you posted except it was gold with black interior. Stupid 2 speed automatic, though. I also had a 64 convertible that someone gave me after it sat for years. It was also an automatic. I knew an older woman who had a 64 coupe with a 4 speed and I wanted to buy hers and build the convertible but she delayed selling it. One day she called and said she was ready to sell it to me. By that time I had lost interest because I was worn out from spending all my free time building up a Mustang basket case my boss gave me.
That was the last major project car I did. Well, I did a minor project type thing on a 77 Malibu which I sold to my sister cheap so her son could wreck it.

I buy a pack of Terry cloth shop towels and a can of spray away window cleaner. I use that on the bike after my ride. My sweat is fairly caustic and eats the coating off aluminum.

I use a sweat guard covering the TT and stem, and a towel on top of that, and then another towel for mopping my face. I take them all off and hang them to dry after every ride. But all my bikes get salt encrustations under the top tube, whether I ride them IRL or ITG (In The Garage).
