Still, I always get a chuckle when someone talks about 'breaking' their bike.

This needed a thread.

OR...

Only the first letter of a sentence is capitalized.

OR...

Sentences should end with some form of punctuation, generally a period.

OR...

When eliminating part of a word an apostrophe should be used.

OR...

This is three minutes of my life I'll never get back.

'Nuff said.

It's spelled "Didactic"

Iride01 07-17-21 11:14 AM

I've had a fear already today that I may have recently wrote b r e a k when I meant b r a k e. It's always bugged me when others do that so consistently in their posts.

Now you've got me more paranoid that I did in fact mess up!

Could be an honest misteak.

Pedants R Us!

(Though, really, a true pedant would feel the need to point out that it SHOULD BE 'We are pedants'.)

genejockey 07-17-21 03:37 PM

Break/brake - same difference, for all intensive purposes. The pronounciations are the same. I could care less.

canklecat 07-17-21 04:19 PM
