We used to live near a pony farm and I never noticed a smell, either.

Well if we're guaging by traffic lights, we're a good 15 miles. The village, however, is a one mile stroll.

I don't think nearest horse is a good metric for boondocksness.

Same here. There's a humongous horse farm adjacent to where I shoot birds frequently and I've never noticed any smell from them.

Cows are a different story. I remember driving through Nebraska where clearly the whole county, possibly the entire state, was stank.

I dunno if we have any bison in the valley but I've seen em up in Flag. They probably don't care for this much heat.

Have you seen a horse's power curve? Drop off a cliff after 5 min. Besides, I'm good for 1 hp for 30sec and I'm more aero. :p

Tighten those chin straps.

Do your chinstraps hang low? Can you tie them in a bow?

At my age, they wobble to and fro. I can ties them in a not. I can tie them in a bow. I can throw them 'cross my shoulder like a continental soldier.

Half-swallowed and them spat out dead what may have been a bee on the morning ride. Throat is now crazy sore; sitting in the ENT waiting room now to see if everything is ok. Fricking Mondays.

I'll bet the HRV is the same. I guess if it blows up it doesn't matter where it is!

I never thought the smell was that bad and they kept the stable area super clean. The last place I lived was in an unincorporated area and people kept horses in their yards. That was never a problem either.

Now pigs are a different story. We used to have a customer who ran a pig farm (ranch?). He would buy a new truck every year or two and the trucks he traded in smelled so bad we would just wholesale them out.

On my Sunday rides I go up a steep little climb next to a yard where the people keep a lot of chickens, peacocks, and other birds. They don't keep it clean and it's pretty nasty.
