Flying via London to EU please help providing information links
I am trying understand whether there is a difference between a US traveler to Europe (Denmark) who had a 2 hours layover at Heathrow before flying to Copenhagen VERSUS a traveler living in the UK boarding a plane to Copenhagen?
All of my newsfeed inform me of the rules for UK travelers to EU to give this more context: I booked a flight to Denmark via London. I picked Denmark mostly because I am vaccinated and Denmark waived testing for vaccinated Americans at the time when I made the booking. Now the Delta variant is poking holes in my 'brilliant' plan and Denmark is introducing severe rules for BRITISH residents traveling to Denmark. |

I found it (see above) and answered my own question.

Nice website, but.. I couldn't get it to work properly.
So what is the solution to your problem? Can you transfer in the UK? |
Yeah at this moment I need a test in US to get to Heathrow. There I can not leave the terminal. Then flying to Denmark as IS national with vaccination I do not need a test but if I needed one the one for London would suffice.

I won't be in such a pickle when I depart for Denmark in a few days...since I will be driving a car, across several borders all within the Schengen Zone. But, we are still a little nervous as the rules are constantly changing and our vaccination certs are provided by the CDC and not the EU, and a colleague just had issues in France (in the end it worked out). This COVID has certainly made travel and life in general a challenge.
