Work is highly overrated.

I'm kind of fortunate in that I can work as much or as little as I want, and work for who I want. I actually turn work away if it doesn't dovetail into what I want to do. Plus, at my billing rate, it's rather financially rewarding.

Our dropped apples are inspected for cider suitability, before they go to the compost.

My kid made this Halloween costume with his 3d printer and other materials. Kid has too much time on his hands at school.

Brother 2 is doing fine with covid and will be at day 10 on Monday.

Sister with seizure last week is working this week but not driving. She gets an MRI next week looking for a possible cause more money limit liability

Sister 2 is 2 weeks post covid and doing fine.

I'm still a dumpster fire.

83 year old mother still fine and thinks we're all a bunch of ****ies.

Of course she does.

Do you want a whiteboard for Christmas?

Still 92 here. Hopefully it drops precipitously when the evil sun goes down

My dad used to brag about having been retired for 28 years. He died at 92

she's tough as nails. She was the oldest of 6 kids. One sibling died before age 1, another at 28 along with her husband and 3 kids in a house fire, her mom died when she was 11 and had to run the house to help her dad who was born in Europe. He died when she was 25.
She was a Registered Nurse until she had kids. Then raised us 5 then when she had a 13 year old, 9 year old and 8 year old at home my dad had a stroke that kept him from working the rest of his life. She hounded/encouraged him for 36 years and kept him healthy until he passed at age 81.

I never saw her cry and she is mostly stoic. I used to wonder why but now I know.

Tough as GD nails.

Today was prolly perfect for riding, but I spent the day in the woodshop. My other addiction. Tomorrow is a farmette day, possibly with a short ride, and Sunday I will try for the metric century I signed up for on Strava. It's gonna be frigid tonight, judging by how cold it is now. Might be sleeping bag weather.
The beauty of the instant coffee routine is its utter speed. Get up to take a leak and come back with a fresh cup of coffee.
