4 of us did 40 miles. Nice day, got into the mid 80s by the end. Friend had a coupon for a free pizza at a cafe near his house, which is where we start the ride. So I gorged on pizza and home made potato chips and now I'm way too full.

The emergency use authorization states it's for people who are high risk for hospitalization or death from covid19. The current strains and immunity mean that the virus nowadays gives you a cold. The chances of hospitalization or death from this is very low in healthy people and actually still reasonably low in patients with chronic conditions. It would have been a big lifesaver early in the pandemic, but at this point I actually think it does more harm than good.

That said, when I tell patients this they are angry and say I don't ******g care, doc....I want that medicine. So I sometimes have to order it for "customer satisfaction."

Donít feel bad. The local concierge care set get ďjust in caseĒ prescriptions to take on trips to Europe.

LSS bought some fancy black walnuts to eat recently. Yuck.

They are certainly an acquired taste.

Must have slept wrong or something. This morning had slight mobility issues with my neck, but through the day the pain started to build. Now I only find comfort if I hold my neck in a specific position. I highly dislike when this happens, must be the cold. Iím getting old.

abshipp 10-04-22 05:04 PM

So on my ride to vacation in NC a couple of weeks ago I developed a pain on the inside of my left knee. Basically took the last two weeks off of the bike to rest it and it had finally started feeling better.

This morning I was walking out of my house to ride to work and my right foot slipped off the steps of my porch. Twisted my left knee on recovery and now itís giving me some pain again :notamused:

Looks like any day off ride tomorrow is going to have to be an easy one.

Top of the line model is 9k walnuts but the lower priced one is 4800 nuts.

Today I found a pair of Park Tools needle nose pliers I lost many years ago. I waited and waited for them to turn up and, when they didn't, bought another pair a year or so ago. I had become convinced that they had grown legs and walked away. I had good reason, at the time, for this belief, but that has now passed. I can't even say where it was I found them; they just turned up in the secret place I always put them, to prevent them growing legs. I can assure you they weren't there a year ago. Or last week. It's all very odd.

Get better fast enough and you won't lose fitness.;) Seriously, hoping for a quick recovery.

Had to make a hygiene stop on a busy road so I took my bike into the corn field with me.

I used to joke that I was so hardass Iíd quit working out for a month just for the challenge of coming back. I donít joke like that anymore.

The first commutes of bike commute season are complete. Think I'll roll the Lemond tomorrow. The single speed is fun, but geared a little too low, until it's geared a little too high for a minute.
