Looking for a Road/Gravel ebike with/without Throttle

Hi All!

Please could someone recommend a good eBike each with 'and' without Throttle for UK? I am not looking for a full-blown eMTB, just a Road/Gravel bike that can climb some minimal hill terrain.

Budget can be upto circa GBP 1500 for a decent-built bike.

Also hope its Motor capacity shouldn't exceed 250W to make it road legal as a Pedelec in UK? or has the 2016 rules changed since..

Thanks in advance,
Sandy.

Also consider pedelec.uk.co. Almost all of the majors have a PAS-only gravel bike, but very few (maybe none) have throttles.

Throttle can help you maneuver at low speeds when turning around in road, or starting out at an intersection, situations where pedal assist could thrust you ahead and make you lose control for a second.

The heavier the bike the heavier the bike rack is going to be to support the weight. Also there are a few bike racks with ramps (Thule, Yakima, 1up) and this makes it a lot easier to get a heavy bike up on the rack. 1up provides the longest ramp which is part of the reason I bought one of their two-bike racks.

A lot more rack options with a e-bike that weighs less than 45 lbs which you will see when you check the specs for the racks.

+1 for pedelec kits
mayeb you can pick the like you like and have some easy conversion
But of course, it depends if you also consider that route, I did also heard pretty good things from the bikes they build

Is there any major-make Class 2 electric bicycle, of course with throttle, of any kind that is available ? Well, if a Class 2 electric gravel bicycle is not available then maybe consider a Class 2 electric mountain bike with carbon-fiber fork ?

Now there is a big Wired article out about NYC food delivery riders and they use an Arrow make of Class 2 electric bicycle.
