I’ll buy that.

I'm signing in to my email, and they want to send the two part verification to my email account. Now that I think about it, I've only begun to have this problem since I started using a VPN. It's a bit of a pain. But there are times when it's convenient to appear to be in the USA.

That is ********, unless possibly the verification is going to a different email account.

Possibly. I do follow her on Strava but I already have her number because she asked some questions about the Wednesday ride.

She is a pretty strong rider, but she does not know the best techniques for climbing, maybe because she is from Texas? Once she learns, she will be dropping my sorry ass in the climbs. Sad.

You can use the crosswalks, plus you get Right Of Way, in California, at least.

When you attack a climb, don’t bend arms at elbows and get aero like when you attack on a flat or downhill. The trade-off between aero and power along curve of hip angle is different for climbing as wind resistance becomes less of an issue. So sit up a bit to increase power.

The Texan attacks hills by crouching. It’s nowhere near as efficient. Trust me.

very true given my recent medical history. I've aged 10 years in the past 12 months.
sad.

If you need more detail about opening up hip angle to increase power, ask Bah Humbug as the TT/Tri geeks have that down to a science.

You know the joke about the recipe for a particular chicken dish starts with "First, steal a chicken"?

First, weigh less.

They have a rest stop at mile 7, which is ridiculous, then mile 20, but next one not until mile 54. I think this is to accommodate rides of various lengths like 25/50/64/100. I expect a super quick stop at 20 and a real stop at 54. There are a few rest stops beyond 54, of which I will likely pick one more.

I would suspect 7 is for people who realize "holy crap I'm not prepared at all for this".

My confusion is the water stop on a 5k run.

Full disclosure:

regarding our earlier discussion about division of work. I must give my wife credit because today I asked her to help me trim some bushes and despite some grumbling she did. We knocked it out fast and went out for lunch and got a to go beer*. We walked around in the designated open container area drinking it. It was nice.

Use this technique on your Zwift races where air resistance is not a factor. You’re welcome.

That helps. Although after eating well on our LA trip, I am up to a porky 144.
