And that means the horn is superfluous. The flashing lights ALREADY tell you a train is coming. The horn should add no further urgency to getting the hell off the tracks.

Train driver has a duty independent of the lights working/not working.

You're assuming he saw it before that.

It's a contributory negligence issue. The article said they tried to stop the train, but didn't know of the truck on the track early enough to stop the train.

Lack of sparks don't mean brakes were not engaged.

ALCS game 2 on, free over-the-air on Fox. :bday:

I have and I found it awesome as in I was in total awe at how modern stadiums are essentially the same. Incredible.

I looked up the story, and found the crossing where this occurred (probably) . This is from the other side of the crossing. The sign is especially poignant.

the horn is just your last warning. it means the train driver has seen you but if you don't move it's too late. he's not stopping before he hits you, even if he slams on the emergency brakes.

This SRAM talk has me wondering. One of todayís riders has Etap and he kept dropping/throwing his chain when using his FD. He even had to stop a few times to put chain back on. I donít know details but apparently he is at LBS now asking them to fix it.

The sheer ugliness of the gear has put me off, that and the reputed horribility of servicing their hydro brakes.

Even 700 years before, the basic raised, ramped oval around the central area had already been worked out by the Greeks. But the Romans went BIG!
