Trek 614 Frame and Fork 1982 cheep

One of these was just given away on here, but i'm not that generous, and i had to pay something to get it, i recall reading that these are great for tire clearance for conversion to a 650b or some type of big tire bike.
i will prepare and pack for $75.00 plus shipping i will have to put in a few hours to go get a box and pack it properly and take it to a drop off point to ship, Reynolds 531 main tubes, its got some corrosion on the underneath the chain stays and the paint is a little dinged up but not terrible to look at. shipping with a Bike shipper would likely be reasonable in a TV box but will charge actual cost based on the smallest box i can fit it in with the appropriate amount of packing.

i posted pictures in the CV section when i found the rust and sanded the paint off, the Hive seemed to think the frame was fine to use, i have not tried to rust proof or paint over the rust as i want you to see how it looks.
I could just put it in the skip but i'm hoping some has a use for it.

seat tube is 24 inches CTC

Top tube is 22.5 CTC or 21.5 inside to inside of tubes

Can’t quite read the serial number in the photo, but that has the exact size, model and date of production info in it. Vintage-trek.com can get you there with catalog scans too.

I haven’t seen many red Treks - very cool - GLWS!

Very interested, in principle, but that top tube seems short for their bikes of that era. 22.5" converts to 57cm and I'd expect something more like 58 or 58.5cm. I hope I'm not being obnoxious -- but you're sure of the measurement?

^^^^ Serial number will determine the seat tube size, and yes, Trek frames of that era should be pretty "square" wrt. the seat tube and top-tube being close to the same length.
