The Emergence Of Riders From Asia

Been watching the World Cup races and six days and have noticed that there is a trend of very good Asian riders. Not just from Japan and China. At the Berlin Six Day, there were to young sprinters from India and Taiwan. Both having performed well at the world championship level. I believe track riding can be more accessible to emerging cycling programs. The cost of supporting a track team seems much less than a road program. Anyway, nice see young riders from an expanded list of countries doing well this Olympic year.

That's awesome, any growth in track riding is appreciated! Anyone in particular you had your eye on?

The rider from India, Isor Alba, couple of Jr World victories to his credit and did very well in Berlin against the likes of Max Levi. On the female side, the gal from Hong Kong, Sarah Lee. She dominated world cups this and last year and has rainbow bands in the sprints and keirin

Lee Wai Sze has been around for a long time. However, you could see her improvements over the last several years, and she's really become dominant in the past year or so.

Lee's dominance in the past few years really makes me wish things had turned out differently for Kristina Vogel - the two of them could have had an absolutely amazing rivalry.
