Odd Hole in Chainstay on Trek 2017 Silque S 6

I just bought a 2017 Trek Silque S 6 from BikeBlueBook and it has an odd hole in the left chain stay. Anyone know what this is? Picture attached.
I'd love to post a photo but the site says i need to make 10 more posts to do that.

Place to mount a combination cadence-speed sensor.

Made by Trek, of course.

Wondering

thanks. Someone already told me that earlier today. I wonder if having a hole like that should have something in it if I don’t have the sensor.

Nope. Not an issue at all. Just ride your bike.

There is normally a rubber cover plugging the hole when there is no sensor is installed.
If this is a used bike then they may have removed the sensor to sell it separately and lost the cover.
You can buy this cover from Trek to close the hole if you do not intend to add a sensor.

If it bothers you, you can get a replacement rubber cover for it, I think this will work-
