One can find many of their favourite (and unfavourite!) celebrities a-wheel here:
https://www.pinterest.com/ligne8/lig...lebrity-style/ Can you identify the machines of Trudie Styler & Sting as they pose together here? http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=472045 |
Tough to tell from that pic.
Hers: tan wall tires, low pro brakes, thumbshifters. I'd say 1990s something or other. His: Looks like a frame from the aughts, maybe . It looks like he's got those crazy new Specialized riser drops on there, though! Is the pic that recent? http://images.cyclingtips.com.au/con.../2N4A37281.jpg |

American Actors Danny Kaye and Martha Hyer Astride a Sir Wally.
Photo undated but probably somewhere around 1960. The Sir Wally experts will be able to identify model and year of their mount... Don't know about you, but I ALWAYS take off with me kickstand down ;) http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=474033 addition: found a date for the photo: 1963. It is from a feature film entitled "The Man From The Diners Club": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057284/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1 |

he wrote that in her last months all she wanted to do was to learn to play and sing one song on the piano, "twinkle, twinkle little star."
afaik gene is still with us. here is his wiki entry which was updated just today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Wilder ------------------------------------- found an additional photo of Danny Kaye atop a heron from the 1963 film "The Man From The Diners Club." looks to be a different bike from the first picture. it is a Sports model. noted that he is riding on the sidewalk which has long been illegal in california for persons over the age of fourteen. just imagine what that 356A in the foreground might be worth today... http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=474211 |

I think the bike might be decoration for the restaurant. Notice the lighting? And yes, the front tire is very flat.
