That frackin bridge was in EVERY TV show in the late 70s early 80s! Little House on the Prairie, the A-Team, Dukes of Hazard, TONS more. Haven't seen it in a long time though. I sure hope it's OK.

I don't have a picture of Gilbert Brown, but he crushed a little girl's bike, bought her a new one.
He rode her bike every year, and when he was going to retire during camp one year, she cried and cried.
It worked. He stayed another year.

The most prized photo, which I also couldn't find,

Many years ago,mid 60's Rod Serling gave me a bike to give to my kids. It was in his work trailer on Cayuga Lake. I have no pictures but it is long gone anyway. He wrote his TV plays in a old trailer set next to his house.

Is he checking the price tag?

How does she get pumps to match her bike? And are they SPD compatible?

How did he grow a moustache and stangely change to resmeble John Cleese while walking to the disabled bike?

Go, Go, Captain Slow! I doesn't surprise me in the least that James May rides a Brompton! Here's one of his co-host, Richard, during a race a few years ago to discover the fastest way across London during rush hour (the bike won, btw)-

And one from his recent Crash Course series (he's actually on a beer run):

I'm surprised no one's posted a picture of Robin Williams- he's actually quite the enthusiast...

As for Audrey Hepburn, she was Dutch and a lifelong cyclist.

Well- I am the dim one. I have no idea how that happened.

Not just yet, thank god. Is this just a publicity stunt like diving into the Charles river years ago? Mr Heinz always seemed more the handball and squash type to me.

IIRC, Mr. Kerry has ridden the Pan Mass Challenge, perhaps this past year. That's roughly 200 miles in two days for the entire route, though I don't know how much he did. On the other hand, one can argue that everything a politician does has some small amount of political-stunt motivation.

David Byrne (band talking heads) with one of the many racks he designed that are all around NY. Even has a bicycle based book out. Big bicycle proponent.

Contrary to her ancestors, who had to make do with horses, HRH is portrayed astride a bike.
