It would be nice if they did a software update to address this. My garmin shows different colors, orange, red and green. It would be nice orange for approaching, red for collision or close pass, green for clear. Not sure if they could do that or not.

Now that I have a varia I ralrely look over my shoulder at cars approaching. I donít imagine it would do much good. Iíd prolly end up diving off the side of the road for no reason. Thatís a lot of bike replacements.

I really dig the bontrager blender system. I picked up another bontrager stem yesterday for the ritchey. Iím starting to become a vain cyclist I guess. I canít stand having mounts on my handle bars. It looks awful.
The blender system just makes everything look pretty.

Speaking of stems, on yesterday's ride I noticed a fellow rider's stem was awfully big and boxy and angular. I wondered if it had a trap door and could double as a bento box. I did not catch the brand/model.

Yea iíve been meaning to get that cut, but like the madone, I canít seem to decide. Thereís days where I like the height, and days where maybe I think it could go up 5mm.

PAOTD, ridiculous edition (but also somewhat awesome)

Text color? Easiest way that I can think of.

Probably carbon, the oversized ones usually are.

You know I am yanking your chain. I would not cut it until/unless you are 100% confident in the fit and also have no plans to sell it.

Yeah, it looked like carbon but I did not want to get too close in case it would asplode.

I get it. I like the computer mounts on my bikes, too.

On my MTB, I don't like the idea of the mount being ahead of the bars, and more exposed to impact. This mount is a spacer under the stem cap that puts the computer over the stem.

Maybe I am old-fashioned, but that ass shot is too revealing.

With World Champs coming up, the feeds are filled with rad bike checks. I like how Hanna Otto's featured used cranks and cassette (probably lighter that way :) )

I do not care for this PAOTD.

But don't care much for the dumb tires/wheels/cambers :)

spun it around a few times, pumped it up to 40psi... tiny little dot of sealant at the staple location. waited an hour. still at 40 ish. spun it some more, pumped up to 70psi. holding steady. LOVING ROAD TUBELESS at the moment. would otherwise be f'ng around with tire levers and tubes at the moment, wondering if i'd have a ride in the morning or not! fingers crossed, knock wood.

still 60+ psi in the am, added a few pumps and had a very nice 20 miles this AM before work. no sign of any additional sealant oozing out of the wound!

Completely agree on the Blendr system, not only in front but also in back. The only thing I have that looks bolted on is the Varia and the speed sensor around the back axle.

I also like the downtube storage. If that bent guy sees me walking, I'll be the subject of his ridicule even though I have all the usual survival gear. Like having no bag.

Not a fan of that.

Nor am I a fan of the "stanced" and "bagged" looks at all.
