My choice would be the central coast (San Luis Obispo area).

I could go for Ventura/Malibu.

Wear a $12 Casio. Keeps better time. That’s what I do.

Strava fail. Nonetheless, I wore short sleeves and got to see the Brown Squirrel Christmas lights on my evening cycling activity. :bday:

Definitely nice up there. Also around Paso Robles. I went to the Great Western Bicycle Rally a couple times and the roads in those hills were great for riding.

I'd live right here. Farther North, or West, it gets too cold in the summer Farther South, or East, and it gets too hot.

But I'd like a bigger house.

If I hit the Lotto (not likely, I don't play) I'll hook you up with a big enough bike room. That's probably what you want more room for anyway.

I didn't think that was an option for genejockey. I stand corrected.

What a lot of people who have never lived here don't understand is the nature of microclimates in the Bay Area. San Francisco is essentially a square, 7 miles on a side, but often there's a temperature difference of 10 degrees or more from one neighborhood to another. From San Francisco down to where I live in San Mateo, the difference can easily be 20 degrees. It's the same going from Half Moon Bay, on the Pacific side of the Peninsula, to San Mateo on the Bay side. Go another 20 miles South to Mountain View, and it might be 10 degrees warmer.

The weather this year is strange. As much as like the warmth, it’s a little unnerving.

I’m going to get 4-12 inches of snow today if that makes you feel better.
