Mainly stiffness, which is contradictory because the Propel is notorious for being a harsh ride. The Propel is from the era of “aero” bike designs of the last decade. It’s a noodle when standing whereas my Colnago acts like it is meant to be thrashed. Big difference in the ride feel.

My daughter hasn’t ridden since she was a child so I’m surprised she went out there. Still, she rode almost 12 miles, and made it about 3/4 up “the hill” on her first lap. Then, she took the bypass the remainder of her laps.

For reference, “the hill” is 133’ and the grade is 13.5 degrees.
