Another Steamroller build for your consideration:

Nice 27 mile ride along the shore yesterday.

Decal real estate seems to diminish with each post.

That's the most radical Steamroller I've ever seen. With what appears to be some serious gear inches - nice!

Thanks man, that photo was taken in Chicago. This is one of my favorite photo spots because the train line and alley really give it that 'big city' look.

Cheers

I cannot overstate how well this bike rides off-road.

My '75 or '76 Peugeot A0-8 fixed-gear, 46x17 works nicely around here. The bars are '50s French (I wanted more narrow upright bars for going hands forward/climbing) from eBay and the grips are Hunt-Wilde (I had no idea they were still being made - I found them at a LBS that has a lot of vintage inspired gear). This bike reminds me quite a bit of a late '60s U08 I had back in undergrad. Very fun. I wish I'd gone with wider tires, but eventually I'll fit fenders for commutes.

I was literally just talking to someone about Superbe Pro track gruppo and how lovely it was. We got to talking about SunTour from the SR st brand of suspension forks and I was explaining it was a different SunTour but the real DNA went towards SunXCD and then we were talking vintage and well this is a LOVELY BIKE.

Not sure how this will go over here: My built from spares SS/Fixie (depending on rear wheel direction). The wheels don't match (different sizes and width), the brakes aren't the same (center pull and side), and I have no idea what the frame manufacture is (found it and discovered it was intact). So, painted it rattle can celery, threw some odd ball stuff on it, and have a blast riding it!! With the paint purchase I have about $25.00 invested...

Reverse fixed gear post: Originally found this Bianchi Piaggio (circa 1985 i think) in the trash in 2008. Rode it as a fixed gear, couriering for a few years (before upgrading to actual track bikes) then it sat rusty in storage for over 10 years. Recently brought it back to life as a budget cross/light gravel bike. All in, it cost about $60 to build back up with a combination of new parts and things laying around in my parts bin. The only upgrade left is a 40t narrow wide chainring to better take advantage of the small range 7-speed cassette (which will cost more than I've spent so far altogether).
